A Gift from the Sea!

The sea gave me a gift
Sadly It was not a treasure chest
And it I did lift
But I could not tell what part I liked best
One part was a red shell
And I liked that part very well
An-OWWW!
Did this gift from the sea
Just pinch me?
Wait this is a crab
At least I did not take it to my lab
Then I  dropped the present from the ocean
And looked for some soothing  lotion

A Dinosaur Dream

Long ago and far away
I heard a strange thump
The noise was so great that
It made my heart jump
It was followed by a boom
And then a big roar
I knew it must’ve been the Dinosaurs
From old and ancient lore
I saw a neck
Long, tall and high
It must’ve been a Brontosaurus
For the neck reached the sky
Then there was a T-Rex
With teeth: sharp and pearly white;
His body was very tall
And he wasn’t very bright
Next I saw the horns three
And knew there was
A Triceratops behind me
His horns were VERY pointy
And very, very pretty
And then I woke up
From the wonderful dream
I tried to make it real all my life
But I couldn’t
No matter how easy it would seem
But let’s not forget
The Dinos
Who could have lived among us
If not for not awful asteroid
That came many years before us

Animal Circus

Strange things I have seen
But nothing quite so queer
Where you only saw animals
The only humans were drinking beer
Some were on tight ropes
And others? Acrobats
I saw some very weird animals
The oddest were the Gnats
There was a Zebra running swift
Upon his rope of tight
Then there was a clown
Who was an Elephant
Darker than the night
Then there was some Fleas
Peculiar little things
They had taught themselves the Trapeze
Even though they had wings
I paid them 15 bucks an hour
To see the show that they put on
I had never been more entertained
Since I saw a racoon
Mowing my neighbors lawn
