Some days
In this
Ever-more dreary
World
You can’t win completely
You can only win small things
Or
Win nothing at all
But what keeps us going?

Especially with Covid-19
On our tail
Our little victories
That’s it
Sometimes that’s all
For there are always victories
Though there aren’t
Always competitions

We always achieve
Getting up for school
Remote
Hybrid
Or
In-person
Then there’s school itself
Achieving your baby steps
Which are more important than
Your GIANT steps

Sometimes
It’s still having hope
Not giving in
To the belief
That nothing good
Lies ahead

In these times
Of awful sadness
And dread
You need to remember
‘Appreciate the little victories’
For they
Help you more
In the long run
Of your stead

Little Victories…
They get the job done
