How it all began

This is Fiona and Miranda. They live in a big castle with their parents, servants, and maids. They are princesses of the kingdom Mulberrybush, but also……they are (secretly) pirates! They love to sail the seven seas in their boat, the Flaming Sunsets.

Today the princesses were having a good day. They were asleep in their castle when their parents woke them up by yelling, “Surprise!” at eight o’clock in the morning. “We’re going on a pleasure cruise with your very good friend Caldoun, from the kingdom of Landland, and her parents!”

And this is the princess Caldoun, from Landland. LandLand is called Landland because it has no seas and no river. She is not a pirate …but she is (secretly) a warrior princess. She loves archery and riding her horse Swordback across the plains of Landland. She also likes to go sailing with her friends, Fiona and Miranda.

As the families were boarding the cruise ship The Sparkle Pony, they noticed some of the crew had eyepatches and wooden legs.
“Welcome to the Sp-arr-kle Pony!” said the captain, “Arrr! Me mateys.”

Are the crew and captain pirates?

The Sparkle Pony was a huge cruise ship. It had three sails, one taller than all the rest, which caught the most wind. It was called the main sail. The boat was painted purple with pink stripes. It was a very, very, very elegant boat — if you didn’t count some pirate intrusions.
“Time for cocktails!”, said the Captain. “Here be some rum, me mateys!”
“Now thar be food!”, growled the cook. They served fish. The tablecloth was a “Jolly Roger” flag.
The princesses whispered, “They’re acting like pirates. Could they be pirates?” They decided to investigate while the parents ate.
They went up and down the ship. It seemed the same as a regular cruise ship, until Caldoun heard voices in the captain’s cabin. They peeked through a crack in the door:
“…can’t wait till we catch thy little girls! Can’t wait, me mateys, can’t wait!”, the captain was saying. “When do we kill the Kings and Queens?”, asked a pirate. “Soon, me lad,” said the captain. “Soon.”
The princesses ran to warn their parents. “This boat is full of pirates!” But their parents just laughed. “Good joke”, they said, “We know your pranks.”
That night, the girls pretended to sleep, but really kept watch. Sure enough, the pirates came in the room with rope and swords. The girls jumped out of bed to fight them, but a cage fell over them.
“Help us!”, cried the parents. “We’re trying!” said the girls.
The captain came into the room. “Who are you?”, cried the parents. “What is the meaning of this!”
“Hahaha!” laughed the captain. “The meaning? I soon be the king of Mulberrybush and Lanland, after you be dead. Bow to your new king: the Dread. Pirate. Doorknob!

This is the Dread Pirate Doorknob. He is a fierce pirate who lives on his boat, the Dead Boat. He has a crew of 20 members. He will do anything to have lots of power. His parents are the Doors, the powerfulest pirates of all time. He has a brother, the Dread Pirate Door. He has a mother, the Dread Pirate Doorpaint. And he has a father, the Dread Pirate Doorledge.

“Tie those girls up and blindfold them! Then put them on a boat and set them to sea!” said the Dread Pirate Doorknob. The parents cried, “No! Have mercy!” “Mercy ye say?” said the Dread Pirate Doorknob. “Give them a pistol in case they want to kill themselves early.”
Now it was turning into a very bad day indeed.

How to survives

The girls were put onto a boat and they eventually fell asleep. After about nine hours of sleep, they woke up to find they had washed up on a deserted island. Their clothes had become rags and their hair was a mess.
The island had four beautiful beaches, with lots of palm and coconut trees. And a jungle with “who knows” in the middle. The island was an average size.
You may be thinking right now, “How could they survive? Their hair was a mess and their clothes were rags!” But did they give up? No! They are heroes!
It was mid-morning when they woke up. “But we’re still tied up!” said Caldoun. Miranda had an idea: “I have an idea! I always carry a lot of secret daggers for just such an occasion!” She found a way to get her secret dagger and cut everyone’s ropes.
“Well, how will we find a way to spend the night?” said Fiona. “Well,”  said Caldoun, “there’s trees over there and a jungle. We can find food and make shelter and use leaves to make blankets to keep warm.”
So Fiona made blankets out of leaves and Caldoun got fruits out of the trees and made coconut pie. Miranda got sticks and made a shelter. It was a good thing they had shelter and blankets because that night was a cold rainstorm. The night passed quickly.

A new friend

They woke up and made new clothes out of other, bigger leaves. “Maybe we should explore the jungle over there!” said Miranda. They went into the deep part of the jungle. The jungle had lots of trees and leaves and looked like a rainforest. The leaves were dropping like crazy.
They were rowing a boat that they found abandoned on the river when suddenly a crocodile crawled onto a very long ledge of the boat. They were scared! But then a girl said, “Hello! I am Bluat!”

This is the princess Bluat. She is an orphan and a princess of the abandoned kingdom Waterblue. She has very close to green skin and turquoise hair. She has a magic sea grass that can turn into any weapon. She is also really skilled at riding her pet sea horse Bluon. She knows how to make great plans as well. She is a mermaid in the water but a human on land.

Bluat said to the crocodile, “It’s ok! They’re good friends of ours!” And the crocodile calmed they down and snuggled them. Then she said, “All animals are nice when they know they can trust.”

A good pirate, and a good friend

Fiona, Miranda, and Caldoun explained to Bluat how they got on the island. “We have to save our parents, but how will we catch up with the ship?” they wondered.
“I have a friend named Bob the sea monster,” said Bluat. “I think he can help.”

This is the sea monster Bob. He is a cute and friendly sea monster. But if you are one of Bob’s enemies, or his friends’ enemies, you will soon drown. He is a blue, giant octopus, but the only difference is that he has 6 eyes. He is very good at following plans and making new friends.

When Bob arrived, he was carrying a friend of his on his back. She had a brown shirt with a red vest and black boots. She wore a big utility belt with everything a pirate could want. She had torn black shorts. And her last accessory? A bandana with a skull and crossbones. “Oh, hello”, said Bob, “Is it bad that I brought one of my best friends, Mysterious Daphne? We were just having tea.”

This is Mysterious Daphne. She is the greatest pirate to have ever lived. Even now, she is the best. In one second she could defeat all the pirates in the universe with one teensy punch. She is really good at sailing her boat, the Seven Skulls.

“Oh, no”, said Miranda, “even though we are really good warriors, it’s really much better if we can have all the help we can get.”
“Well”, said Mysterious Daphne, “I think I can make a plan if you guys tell me what we’re trying to accomplish.” So Fiona and Miranda told her the story.
“I have an idea,” said Mysterious Daphne. The plan was that Mysterious Daphne and Bluat were going to distract the pirates, while Fiona, Miranda, and Caldoun found a way to set their parents free. Then Bob was going to block all the entrances and exits from the ship. They would have a fight, and if anyone tried to escape in the row boats, Bob would throw them into the ocean — but make sure they wouldn’t drown.

How it all ended

Bluat transformed herself into a beautiful, golden-haired young woman. She appeared before the pirates and said, “All is lost! Woe is me! Won’t you help me?”
Even the Dread Pirate Doorknob said, “Oh of course! What a lovely lady! Of course we will!”
Then Mysterious Daphne jumped down behind them and Bluat transformed herself back to who she really was. Her magic sea grass transformed into a sword. “En garde!” they cried. The Dread Pirate Doorknob said, “It was a trick!”
Meanwhile, downstairs Fiona, Miranda, and Caldoun were rescuing their parents. Bob was closing down the entrances and exits to the ship. The battle was about to begin.
Then Fiona, Miranda, and Caldoun burst from the captain’s cabin with their parents. The battle went back and forth. First the girls had the lead. Then the Dread Pirate Doorknob. Until, finally, Bob said “En garde, me mateys!” and used five of his tentacles to grab six pirates and drop them in the ocean. But he made sure they came up and didn’t drown. The girls had a huge lead and it didn’t take long to defeat most of the rest of the pirates.
“I give up”, said the Dread Pirate Doorknob. But as the girls approached, he cried “NOT!” and attacked Miranda. He fought Miranda and, when she about to lose, Fiona hit him from behind. Bluat’s sea grass transformed into a shield and she banged into him. Mysterious Daphne kicked him into the sky. Bob grabbed him with his tentacles and they tied him up.
This had turned out to be a very good day indeed!

Epilogue

The Dread Pirate Doorknob had been locked in jail for two weeks. He had a magic spell he could use to escape but it didn’t work inside the jail. He was waiting for new guards to come. When they did, he complained to them. “My cell is stinky and I really have to pee! Can’t I go outside for one minute? I’ll come back, I promise!” “OK”, said the guards. “But be quick about it.” Once he was free, he used his magic spell to teleport away. His guards stood there, stunned.
